WHAT IS NIL?
NIL stands for Name, Image and Likeness and refers to the ability for student-athletes to be compensated for their personal brand. Under current NCAA rules, student-athletes can monetize their NIL in a wide range of activities — commercial and non-commercial endorsements and advertisements, growing their own business, autographs, lessons, appearances, social media influencing, etc. — while maintaining their eligibility.
