
Gymnastics Prepped For Friday's Mental Health Awareness Meet

NC State Welcomes EAGL Foe New Hampshire
RALEIGH – The NC State gymnastics team returns to Reynolds Coliseum on Friday, Feb. 17, as the Wolfpack will host New Hampshire in an EAGL dual meet.
The Wolfpack enter Friday's contest having most recently competed in an EAGL quad meet at Towson in addition to fellow competitors Pitt and Temple, registering a 194.775 that was highlighted by a season-high team score on floor at 49.375. The Feb. 10 competition also saw Emily Shepard tie for first place as an individual on vault with a score of 9.900 while also claiming the all-around crown at 39.300 in addition to Chloe Negrete posting her second-consecutive score of 9.925 to take first place on floor.
New Hampshire enters Friday's meet having posted a season-high score of 195.900 on Feb. 12 in a quad meet against George Washington, LIU, and North Carolina. Friday will also mark the first time NC State and New Hampshire have met in the regular season since Jan. 29, 2022, where the Pack hosted a quad meet and registered a 195.250.
Friday evening will additionally serve as NC State gymnastics' inaugural Mental Health Awareness Meet. Tied to the university's Wellness Day on Thursday, Feb. 16, the Wolfpack will be highlighting mental health causes on campus including the Student Mental Health Task force that is made up of student, faculty, and staff representation to better the mental health efforts of NC State and its campus community.
Friday's meet will be the first leg of NC State's two-meet weekend, as Sunday, Feb. 19 the Wolfpack will compete in a quad meet at Temple alongside Penn and George Washington. Friday night's contest is slated for a 7 p.m. start and will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra through the Watch ESPN app.
