VERO BEACH, Fla. – Led by top-five finishes from Stephen Franken (4th) and David Cooke (5th), the NC State men's golf team placed third of 15 teams at the 2015 Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational. The third-place result marks the third straight tournament in which NC State has finished among the top three teams.

Now four tournaments into the 2015-16 season, NC State has posted an impressive W-L-T record of 45-8-1.
SIX ROUNDS UNDER PAR
NC State golfers combined for six rounds under par at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational this week. Franken (3), Cooke (2), and Davis Richards (1) all contributed to this total.
ADD THREE MORE
NC State picked up three more top-20 finishes to add to the season total. With Franken, Cooke, and Richards (T11) finishing in the top 20 at Quail Valley, the Wolfpack has now recorded nine individual top-20 results this season.
PAR FIVES
NC State attacked the par five holes at Quail Valley Golf Club. The Wolfpack tallied a tournament-best score of -25 (4.58 strokes per hole) on par fives.
UP NEXT
The Wolfpack returns to action on Friday, Nov. 6 when it begins competition at the three-day Ka'anapali Classic in Maui, Hawaii.
