General Jim Hackler Final Results
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The NC State men's golf team picked up a strong result at the 2015 General Jim Hackler Championship, finishing second among the field of 15 teams. Through three rounds of play at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club, NC State carded a team score of 873 (+9).
David Cooke (T6) and Jacob McBride (T9) led the Pack with strong individual scores, carding totals of 216 (E) and 217 (+1), respectively. Cooke shot State's best round on Tuesday, carding a 70 (-2) while also tying for fourth among the field with 11 total birdies. 
NC State held a three-stroke lead following the first two rounds of play and shot a 302 during the final round. The Pack would combine to record five rounds at or below par throughout the competition.
Of the 13 teams NC State finished ahead of at the competition, four were ranked among GOLFWEEK's latest top 50: East Tennessee State (39), Iowa State (47), Charlotte (48), and East Carolina (49).
Carter Page (T21) and James Chapman (T32) were NC State's next two finishers. Page finished with a three-round score of 221 (+5) while Chapman shot a 223 (+7). Page was one of just eight golfers in the field of 82 to record an eagle in the tournament.
Stanhope Johnson (T61) was the Pack's final team finisher at 230 (+14) while teammate Colby Lyles (T71) shot a 235 (+19) in the individual portion of the competition.

NC State returns to action on Saturday, March 14 at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular. The two-day tournament will take place in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
