RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico – The NC State men's golf team completed the first round of play at the 2016 Puerto Rico Classic Sunday. Through 18 holes played at the Rio Mar River Course, the Wolfpack sits 13th with a combined team score of 297 (+9).
In a stacked field which features six top-25 teams, the Wolfpack finished the first day ahead of Minnesota and Virginia Tech. No. 17 Alabama leads the field after shooting a 276 (-12).

Wolfpack golfers combined for 15 total birdies during the first round of the Puerto Rico Classic. Page led the team with five while teammates David Cooke and Jacob McBride were not far behind with four apiece.
SECOND ROUND
Like Sunday, Monday's second round will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. NC State golfers will tee off on holes 16, 17, and 18.
